Delivering S.T.E.M. to your classroom in a fun and interactive way
through the power of drones and coding

Introduction

Drone coding is a new and exciting field that combines two of the most popular trends – drones and coding. In this course, you will learn how to program drones to perform various tasks, such as flying autonomously or following specific routes and simulate real life drone missions from sea rescue, first aid kit delivery to roof damage inspection and more in a classroom setting. You will also learn about the different sensors and cameras that can be used on drones, and how to integrate them into your code.

Curriculum

Our drone lesson plans and STEM curriculum offer standard-aligned projects, fun and engaging autonomous drone missions and challenges. This is not your average program: and we’ve done all the heavy lifting for you.

At DroneTech. We provide a complete turnkey package, leaving you to the joy of delivery as you inspire young minds. You don’t have to be a coder, technologist, roboticist, or engineer. Our drone education curriculum provides lesson plans, step-by-step instructions, and all the resources and materials you need to awaken the best in your students.

Software

DroneTech uses Droneblocks software to enable educators to teach students about computer science with Tello drones.

The classic DroneBlocks application allows you to program/code the Tello drones with drag and drop block programming. Drag and drop coding allows users to create their own custom flight logic and algorithms. Many creative solutions have been generated with DroneBlocks. DroneBlocks is available on iOS, Android, and Google Chrome. Learn more about DroneBlocks here.

Programming Simplified

DroneTech supports block programming. Simply drag coding blocks on the screen to program Tello drone and enable certain movements, finish certain missions and challenges and learn the most important fundamental concepts of coding from sequences, if/else statements, loops, to functions

Hardware

The DJI Tello is an impressive and programmable drone perfect for education . It comes equipped with a 720p HD camera that captures sharp and clear images and videos. The drone also has a flight time of up to 13 minutes and can fly up to 10 meters away from the controller. Additionally, it has a range of built-in features such as obstacle detection, automatic takeoff and landing, and low battery protection.
